Welcome!

As you enter the small town of Marshall, Illinois...most people notice something very different. No, it's not the several gazebo's around town that is one of Marshall's noteable landmarks. If you look closely, you will find paw prints painted on the roadways. Follow those paw prints and you will find yourself at the Marshall High School, 806 North 6th Street, THE HOME OF THE MARSHALL LIONS.

Notes From Head Coach, Todd Evers

Lions Fans,

We will be leaving for EIU Football Camp tomorrow morning (Sunday, June 14th). I am very excited for this year's camp. It's always exciting for the guys to escape from their everyday lives and get into football mode for a few days.

Other teams that will be joining us at camp this year will be Casey-Westfield, DuQuoin & Mattoon. All players going to camp should meet at the high school at 10:30am on Sunday, June 14th. (Be sure to bring extra socks!)

Only days until the next Quarterback Club Meeting at 6:30 pm in the MHS Study Hall

Say what??

Message from the President

Where has time gone?  The 2008-2009 school year is now ending and the 2009 season is approaching faster than you think.  Our Lions have been hard at work in the weightroom all winter and summer workouts are just around the corner.

With that in mind...there will be a "Spring Fling" held on Tuesday, May 26th at 5:30 pm in McNary Gymnasium.  This is for all interested football players and their parents.  Coach Evers will inform players and parents of summer activities, as well as his expectations.  PaceSetter Sports will be on hand with merchandise and information on team discounts.  And, Quarterback Club information will be given as well.  This is an important meeting and all interested participants are strongly urged to attend!

The Lions are preparing to attend the Eastern Illinois University Football Camp in June.  After a year's absence...the Lions are returning to this exciting camp where our players will gain valuable knowledge and experience.  The Quarterback Club will again this year travel to EIU and host an evening cook out for our players during camp week.  If interested in helping out, please let me know.

A BIG THANK YOU to Rick Stepp, Todd Bishop, Tim Trudeau, Jack Trudeau, and Christopher Stepp for their hard work on the game field.  The Quarterback Club has taken over the project of care and upkeep of the practice and game fields at MHS.  This group of men recently gave up one of their Saturday's and worked on our game field.  They mowed, thatched, seeded, fertilized, and watered Bush Field in preparation for the upcoming season.  This is a big undertaking for our organization which will require everyone's support.  Thanks guys for your hard work!

The Clark County Fair if fast approaching and the QB Club will again be taking tickets at all of the Grandstand Activities this year.  This is an important fund raiser for our organization and we need your help.  If you can spare a few hours of  your evening to help out, please contact Tina Grooms, or Stephanie Baud.

If you are not yet part of our fun group, please come to one of our meetings and take part.  You will be glad you did.

We have new committee's formed and members volunteering to handle different duties. The committee's are:

Membership: Stephanie Baud, Mike Bartnick, Gayle Duncan, Amy Cannady, Amy O'Rourke, & Tina Grooms.

Merchandise: Don Wetherell, Angel Sanders, Jeff Hook, & Stephanie Baud.

Fundraising: Todd Kuhn, Todd Bishop, & Mike Bartnick

Grounds Crew:  Rick Stepp, Todd Bishop, Bill Brown, Tim Trudeau, Scott Harrold

If any of these committee's contact you for help, please give them your full support!

Don't miss out on the fun and excitement in preparing for the 2009 season!!! Come out to the next Quarterback Club Meeting and get involved. The next meeting is June 3rd at 6:30 pm in the MHS Study Hall.
