As you enter the small town of Marshall, Illinois...most people notice something very different. No, it's
not the several gazebo's around town that is one of Marshall's noteable landmarks. If you look closely, you will find paw
prints painted on the roadways. Follow those paw prints and you will find yourself at the Marshall High School, 806 North
6th Street, THE HOME OF THE MARSHALL LIONS.
Comments from Head Coach Steve Duzan
Just to update you on how our weight training and conditioning is going………………..It
is going great!!! We have been getting good numbers concerning attendance, but
even more impressive than the numbers in attendance is the level of work the athletes are putting forth. As a coach in am very proud of our young men who have been making a consistent effort to better themselves
and their team. They have made a true commitment to be a part of something more
than just themselves. They are working hard and sacrificing parts of their lives
to ensure they are ready for the fall. Keep up the good work men!!!
Also, for any of you “Lion Football Fans”, feel free to stop by
the weight room anytime between 3:00pm-4:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday to see our men in action. We have been doing a lot of training with the new kettlebells. They
will make a difference in our conditioning, in preparation for the upcoming season.
Just ask the boys J

Message from the President
Another month is here already. Boy, is time going fast. Have you been by to look at the practice and game field? They are
looking pretty good!!!!
School is about over for another year and then summer football activities will be here! The players can hardly wait.
I know it's still early, but just a reminder...don't forget to schedule your player's athletic physicals.
The Spring Raffle is still underway and ticket sales are going well. We have only approximately 100 tickets left to sell
before reaching our goal of a maximum of 500 tickets.
There are still ways to help make this a HUGE success. If you have not yet taken tickets to sell...PLEASE contact me
and I will get you some tickets. If you have sold tickets and need more...let me know as well and I will get them to you.
If you don't have tickets and would like to purchase some...let me know!!! We have only one month left to sell out of our
500 tickets. So, let your friends, family, co-workers, etc. know!!!
Lastly, I would like to thank Lesa Trudeau for her support in displaying our Lions Gear merchandise at Stars & Stripes
throughout the years. I would have been lost on several occasions, were it not for her expertise and guidance in merchandising.
As you may or may not know...we have been fortunate in not having to do a lot of fundraisers due to the amount of revenue
generated by our Lions Gear Merchandise. Having a place to permanently display our merchandise is an invaluable asset to
our organization. So, again...THANK YOU LESA!!!
I have received many questions regarding where people will be able to purchase our Lions Gear in the future. I will soon
be announcing an exciting new arrangement for the new home of our Lions Gear. After all arrangements have been finalized,
the QB Club will issue a press release letting everyone know where they can go to get all of our Lions Football Merchandise.
