Welcome!

As you enter the small town of Marshall, Illinois...most people notice something very different. No, it's not the several gazebo's around town that is one of Marshall's noteable landmarks. If you look closely, you will find paw prints painted on the roadways. Follow those paw prints and you will find yourself at the Marshall High School, 806 North 6th Street, THE HOME OF THE MARSHALL LIONS.

Notes From Head Coach, Todd Evers

Lions Fans,

Our summer weight lifting, conditioning, and 7on7 tournaments are in full effect right now. Our players are lifting and running 3 mornings a week (at 6:00am!!). Our numbers have been pretty good so far this summer, with 35-45 players at every session. So far, we have been to the Wabash Valley 7on7 at ISU, and the Mattoon 7on7 this summer. Both our Varsity and Fresh/Soph players have seen some great competition at our first two 7on7 tournaments of the summer. We still have two more 7on7 tournaments to attend this summer: Cumberland (July 17th) and Tuscola (July 30th).

Our High School Team Camp is scheduled for July 19th-22nd. This will be a great opportunity for our players to familiarize themselves with our fundamental skills and schemes before 2-a-days begin on August 11th.

The Marshall Youth Football Camp is also coming up. It will be conducted on the mornings of July 26th, 27th, and 29th (Mon, Tues, Thurs). At the Marshall Youth Football Camp, campers will be taught the fundamentals of football at their chosen offensive and defensive positions. They will take part in individual and group drills taught by Marshall High School coaches and varsity players. You can download the Marshall Youth Football Camp Form on the Summer/Fall Schedules page.

Say what??

Message from the President

Congratulations to Taylor Duncan, Dustin Morey, and Jacob Minnich.  They are the 2010 recipients of the Quarterback Club Scholarships.  Good Luck to these deserving young men!

Hard to believe that summer vacation is already here.  But, that also means that the 2010 Lions Football Season is just around the corner.

The Lions have been busy in the weight room and have been working very hard on their conditioning.  Remember, successful seasons are built in the off-season.

As the season nears, there are also several activities coming up for our Quarterback Club.  The first activity will be held on Thursday May 27th at 5:30 pm in the McNary Gymnasium.  Coach Evers is holding his annual "Spring Fling."  This is an informational meeting regarding the upcoming season, practice schedules, and other important information.  QB Club members are working hard to make this an enjoyable event and have planned to have a carry in and serve some delicious food and refreshments.

Next, is the upcoming Clark County Fair.  The Quarterback Club has again been asked to man the entrances to the grandstands and take tickets.  The Fair Board has been very appreciative of our help the last two years and will make a donation to our group at the end of the fair.  We will be asking members to donate a few hours of their time during the fair and help take tickets.  If everyone pitches in...no one should have to work more than one evening.

The EIU Football Camp is upcoming and several members of our team will travel to Charleston for a week of intensive football training.  This is a very worthwhile camp  and our Lions come away with valuable skill and knowledge in the game of football.

I know that the website has been very slow as of late, but that will be changing as more and more activities come up and the season nears.

Don't forget...if you have not yet renewed your membership, dues for the 2010 season can now be submitted.

Once a Lion...
Always a Lion!
